Live The Life You've Imagined

This is a photo lay out of my children. I painted Matte photo paper with Folk Art Metallic acrylic paint. I did sort of a wash of Antique brown. Then painted over top of the Brown with Peridot. I taped off diamond shapes and painted those areas. Then I stamped a Love Bingo card in the upper left corner. On the right side of the picture I stamped the words Live The Life You've Imagined. I placed a metal key towards the top of the lay out that says LIFE. I place a metal element on the lower left of the picture that says imagine.

Sarath's Scarf

My son in law wanted me to make him a black and gray scarf. He didn't care if I knit, crochet, or weaved the scarf. I choose to weave the scarf because I would complete the scarf faster weaving it. I started the scarf yesterday, and completed it today. I used Caron Simply Soft yarn the color black, and craft smart yarn the color gray. It measures 6 1/4 inches wide and 70 inches long including the fringe.

Finger Painting

I painted this picture using acrylic paints, the colors used medium yellow, crimson, and mars black. I painted the background with my fingers. I painted the fluer de lis using a stencil and my fingers. I used india ink and a dip pen for the message. And put a bit of bling up in the corner for the sunshine. A fun finger paint project!!!

Photo Lay Out

I had so much fun with this photo layout. First I put Gesso on heavy weight Matte photo paper.
After it was dry I used stencils and paint dabbers on the back ground. Next I used alcohol inks and my blending tool
and worked on the back ground some more. I glimmer misted the back ground with a couple of different mists.
I out lined on of the Fleur De lis using a dip pen and black India ink. The chip board letters for the word Love were a bright Glossy pink. I took my paint dabbers and glimmer mist spray to change the color, and tone them down a bit. I mean I toned them down a lot. LOL.
I used a flower punch and made the flower. I put a bit of bling in the center of the flower. I put a feather behind the flower, then placed it on
the lower left hand corner of the family photo. I added a metal element in the top right hand corner of the layout that says Cherish. Prefect sentiment of a family photo.
I made this layout 8 x 10 because I wanted to frame it. When I was finished with the layout. I framed it.
The flower on the picture sticks out to far so I could not put glass over the photo. I thought that would happen, but I really wanted the flower to be part of the layout. I can tell you that I had Great FUN making this layout. And look forward to making many more!!!

Basic Socks

Alrighty then! I think that I have finally found the perfect needle size for knitting basic socks.
Size 2.5 knit with 60 stitches.Makes the perfect fitting sock for me, and knits up pretty fast. For this pair of socks I used Deborah Norville  Serenity sock weight yarn, the color Picasso Marble. I am very Happy with the way this pair turned out!
