I made myself new earrings, and a bracelet from paper beads.

Hand Woven Baby Blanket

We are expecting a new Grandson in June. I wove him a baby blanket. This is the largest weaving project that i have ever made. It measures 28" x 32" not including fringe. With fringe it is 28' x 41". I used Lion Brand Yarn. Pound of Love in the color Pastel Blue.

Bracelet

For this bracelet, I cut my own designer paper into strips. Then rolled the paper into beads. I added a purchased bead to the mix, to get this cute bracelet. I am having to much Fun!!!

I am a Hippie today!

I have a new Bracelet, and earrings today. I made them from the paper beads that I made up yesterday.
I feel like a Hippie today, very Bohemian. I Love it!!!

I will use the beads in many, many projects.
My mixed media for sure, earrings, bracelets, bookmarks.
They are very versatile and can be used in many, many ways.

To have more, desire less

I was in the mood to create something Red. I have been working with a lot of Green, purple and blue lately.
so I decided to spice things up with a little red. For this 4 x 6 mixed media collage, I cut up an old collage that I had made and used it for the boarder. I fussy cut out a vintage bird , added a quote, and a couple of other embellishments, and called it Good. I am happy with the way this little collage turned out.

Dragonfly Collage

Yesterday I went to JoAnn Fabrics & Crafts, and bought some Crackle medium and some mirrored Dragonfly's. I knew that I wanted to make a 4 x 6 mixed media project with these 2 items. I have never used crackle medium before and wanted to try it. I wanted the background of my collage to be crackled. I tried it on this project and LOVE the effect. Perfect for a background. Then I took an old collage that I had made and did not like so much and cut it up into 1/2 inch strops to be the border for my collage. I Mod Podged a couple of dragonfly, and a flower embellishment to my background then added the mirrored dragonfly at the top of my collage. I am very HAPPY with the way this project turned out. :)

Bad Hair Day

Altered Cigar Box

I went to our local Antique Shop here in Lennox yesterday. I bought a 1959 El Roi-Tan Cigar box. I knew for sure that I wanted to alter that box. I took the box apart, and used the cover of the box to make a Junk Journal. So much fun for me. I made this box into 52 pages of Journaling Goodness. I am happy with the way the box turned out. This will be a gift for a friend.
