Go On With Your Knittin
Go On With Your Knittin'
(Unknown Irish Poet)
When the folks next to you act like those in the zoo
A grumblin', growlin' and spittin'
It's a pretty good plan
To be as calm as you can
And do something useful?like knittin'.
When a gossipin' Susan with poison barbed tongue
Comes into the room where you're sittin'
And starts to defame
Some neighbor's good name
Count your stitches out loud and keep knittin'.
When there's been a slight misunderstandin' at the church
And others hint broadly of quittin'
Why the very best thing
You can do is to sing
And stay at your post and keep knittin'.
When Satan moves in with his cohorts of sin
Say, "You'll never find me submitin'.
You irk me I find
So get thee behind
And please don't disturb me?I'M KNITTIN!"
In the middle of problems, the big and the small
It's always proper and fittin'
To trust and to pray
'Til the Lord shows the way
An' go right on ahead with your knittin'.

I was playing in my studio again today. I made a Butterfly tag. I used The Heirloom paper stack, a butterfly punch, to make a 3D butterfly and a bit of Glitter Glue. I just Love Glitter Glue!!!

Paris card
I used 2 pieces of designer paper for this card. The paper is from the Le Tres Chic stack. I used some glitter, a flower punch, a butterfly punch, some bling, and glue. I made my butterfly 3 dimensional, and I Love it!
Tequila Sunrise Socks
This pair of socks was knit top down. Classic toe and heel. Knit on size 3 needles. Socks knit up pretty quick on size 3 needles. I will probably use size 3 needles more often now. I used Red heart yarn, the color Tequila Sunrise.

Butterfly Card
I made this card using one piece of designer paper. The paper is from the Mariposa stack. I used glitter glue, punched out a butterfly, and did some fussy cutting to make the pocket for the tag. I love how this card turned out!

The Distant Hours by Kate Morton
Kate Morton is a Master Wordsmith. This book was like a very good friend to me. I enjoyed every moment, every hour, every day that I spent with this book. This book was suspenseful, at times so suspenseful I could hardly breath. I had to force myself to take a breath of fresh air. The story is so very captivating!!! There is a castle, that whispers to it's inhabitants, a Love Story, and lots of Dark Stormy nights. The Dark Stormy nights are intense. This is a 5 star book for sure. I will read this book again sometime. I will meet this friend again!

Diagonal Rib Hat
I knit this hat for my knitting friend Karen. She is knitting and donating hats to a cancer center. Karen said that the yarn used should be soft. The softest yarn that I had on hand was Caron Simply Soft in the color Dark Sage. Caron Simply Soft is very soft, perfect for a chemo hat. I love the pattern on this hat. Very pretty, an easy fast knit. The pattern for this hat can be found here

Slippers
My Granddaughter is going to have Cozy toes this winter, because I knit her a pair of Beautiful warm slippers. The pattern calls for chunky yarn, I did not have any chunky yarn, so I held to strands of worsted weight yarn together for these slippers. I used Red Heart with Love yarn, in the color Fruit Punch. The perfect colors for my Granddaughter. Happy colors. The pattern for these slippers can be found here
Garlic Bubble Ring Bread
My Beautiful Granddaughter is staying with me this weekend. We made our very FAVORITE Bread. Garlic Bubble Ring Bread. YUM!!!!!
Dinosaur hat
My Grandson Loves, loves, loves Dinosaurs. So of course I knit him a Dinosaur Hat. In most of the Dinosaur pictures that I have seen Dino's are green, so I choose Red Heart yarn in the color Paddy Green. Red Heart is a very durable, washable yarn. Perfect for a knit hat for a little boy. The pattern for this cute little hat can be found here
