Mixed Media Art Journal Page

For today's Art Journal Page I painted the background with FolkArt orange acrylic paint. Then I took a finger dobber and dobbed purple on the orange, then I flicked pink paint off of my paint brush on top of everything. I cut the eyes mouth and hair from a girl in a magazine, drew her head and neck colored the head and neck with colored pencils. Her blouse is from one of my gelli plate prints. I choose the background colors for my page from the gelli print. I embellished the page with butterflies, and the quote "in dreams we catch glimpes of life larger than our own". I painted a purple border around the whole page. :)
