Moll Flanders by Daniel Defoe

This book was written in 1722 and is quite a story. It is supposed to have been written from her Memorandums. Moll Flanders is not her real name, and you never find out what her real name is while reading the book. She was born very poor, because her mother was in prison. She was raised by a good foster mother. She always wanted to Be and thought the she was, and should be treated as a gentlewoman. She turns out to be a whore, and a thief. She has several husbands, and lovers. Several children also. None of them she keeps to raise herself. At the end of the book she is a very rich woman. I found the story interesting, very interesting. But I don't believe it to be true. This Moll Flanders had to be the most selfish, greedy woman on earth if this story is true. As the author says that it is at the beginning of the book. It is a long book. If you enjoy reading Victorian novels as I do, I suggest that you read the book and determine for yourself if it is at all a true story or not.
