The fascinating mystery was published in 1878. It is fast paced, exciting, suspenseful, amazing, probably one of the best "Locked Door Mysteries" that I have ever read. This was the first American detective novel ever written, and it was also the first detective novel ever written by woman. You must read this book if you enjoy mysteries. I PROMISE that you will LOVE it!!!!!!!! I enjoyed every single page that I read, and I could not turn the pages fast enough. No kidding.
